Serene Scalp Oil Control Treatment Mist

I received this as a free product in exchange for my honest review on Influenster and Sephora from the Oribe Team. Right off the bat, the packaging is super clean and nice. Looks very classy, it’s super easy to use, and leak-proof so good to take traveling. So happy to be able to sample a full size oil control treatment mist. When spraying on, I wished the fragrance wasn’t as strong, because it’s a cologne-y smell that can cause a headache. Secondly, this seems to work best with air dried hair from showering, which can be time consuming. Alternatively, I noticed it’s best used to spray on dry hair and then using a blow dryer. But if sprayed on without blow drying, it just causes my hair to feel dried out and clumpy/hard. I’ve noticed that it makes my hair look extra shiny and coarse, too. So even if it did somewhat controlled my hair oil, I can only give this a 3/5 stars. It’s a solid mist overall, but the formula seems to only support the “feel” rather than a holistic look of the hair. If the spray had maintained my hair texture to be smooth, too, I’d high recommend this. But if it matters to you how your hair looks, I’d skip and opt for dry shampoo instead.

I am grateful to have received this item for free in exchange for an honest review from Influenster. I have to say the bottle is very pretty and the details on it are unique. I am so disappointed that this product didn’t work for me. Personally it made my hair feel moisturized if that makes sense but my scalp was extremely oily afterward. I was at the point that I was looking like I hadn’t washed my hair in days after less than one day between washes. My hair has never been like this before. It just feels slimy. I wanted so bad to like it because it doesn’t smell bad. But it just isn’t for me - even after using it for about a month.

I have really horrible oily hair, especially during these hotter Summer days. This mist is ultra fine & light, a little goes a long way for that extra oily control. This is great alone or with the Serene Scalp oil shampoo. The scent is pretty and delicate but fret not, it only lasts as long as you spray it. It evaporates quickly, so fragrance-sensitive people need not worry. You spritz a bit, comb through damp hair and allow it to dry. Within seconds it works it's mattefying magic! 5/5 highly recommend!!

After using this product for a few weeks after showering with the Serene Scalp Oil Control shampoo, I can say that it officially added and extra day to my hair wash routine. I have a lot of thin hair and it generally gets greasy on day 2, but I’ve extended my washing to 3 days! I spray on a few minutes after getting out of the shower and massage into roots. It has a fairly neutral scent that is undetectable once my hair is dry. The bottle still feels pretty full so I think it will last me a few months. Oribe is one of my favorite product lines and I’m excited to add this oil to my permanent routine!

*I received this complimentary product for testing purposes* I love the purple packaging, it is stunning! I use 90% Oribe products daily, so I was very excited to try this! I have very oily hair, and am a dry shampoo queen. My scalp felt great after spraying this. You can faintly smell the peppermint oil. I did feel less oily by my roots & my hair/scalp wasn’t oily like it normally is by the morning (I shower at night). I feel like this is one of those products that has to be used regularly & you will notice a difference over time. I will continue to use in conjunction to the shampoo. After looking at the ingredients, I think this will definitely continue to help soothe & cool the scalp as well as minimize oiliness & protect from the elements. I’m excited to incorporate this into my routine!

I am so happy to say that I was able to receive this product during one of the Influenster campaigns I received a full size Mist Treatment. I used this product after the shower on my damp hair. I parted my hair as I usually do and sprayed this mist right along my part line. I immediately noticed a change in texture within my hair. This product felt as dry shampoo does and gave my roots some volume which was an added bonus! I have very oil roots and this product was great at minimizing the oil that builds up between my wash times. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has struggles with oily hair.

I have never used a product that was designed to use when I got out of the shower and still had damp hair that was meant to control oil. It sort of has a minty smell and I like it. I have been using for a few weeks and I’m unsure how much it helps. I have dark roots right now and this is 30hrs since it was last washed. With dry shampoo tomorrow I should get thru 1 more day. I did notice when I use this on wet hair that air dries it’s sort of crunchy and more noticeable. I like it better when I use it then blow dry. I appreciate Oribe and Influenster sending me this to test for free for my honest review. I will continue using and might purchase more. Not entirely sure yet.

It’s been 10 days using this oribe serene scalp oil control treatment mist. I honestly think this works very well for me. I always have itchy, oily and scalp problems. I had try different types of products but the results not worked or didn’t last more than a week. I feel so refreshing every day morning with dry smooth clean hair. No more oily itchy scalps for me!! 100% highly recommend to all my friends and people.!!
