Hair Alchemy Heatless Styling Balm

The unique blend of ingredients in this styling balm really helped to turn my straw like, unmanageable hair into locks of angelic like hair. I applied to damp hair and crumped it into my curls. It has a nice scent to it, and the texture of the balm is not greasy, nor does it leave any type of residue. Upon air drying my hair, curls were left defined, bouncy and full of life. Flyaways were tamed as well as the frizz. It also gave a nice texture to my bangs, making them more manageable, and easy to set. My hair feels texturized without being weighed down. And the shine can be seen from a mile away. I promise you, if you have curly unmanageable hair, this is sent from heaven!

This is such a great product for summer! It gives body and texture to my hair without having to use any other products or tools. Just apply to fresh clean hair, brush and let it air dry. I like to give my hair a good dry with microfiber turbans before applying the product. After a little while I notice how the balm starts to dry out and give my hair the look of being blown dry without the heat, time or effort. I have mostly straight hair and it can look flat without any styling but I can see how this could work very well for straight to wavy hair as it says it enhances waves. In my case it added some volume and body to my mostly straight hair.

Texture: lotion like, non-sticky, fast-absorbing Scent: not overpowering tropical fruit smell, it smells like summer, fresh and delightful Simply apply this to my damp hair before bed with hair claws, and voila, beautiful wavy hair in the morning. Let me tell you something, I woke up removing my hair claws, then I went to take my trash can out for trash day and a lady walked by, she complimented me on my hair and also told me that I smell nice, and the scent probably from the Oribe hair balm, because I didn’t put on any body lotion, perfume before bed. Would I repurchase this? Yessss 100%.

Want a very lightweight heartless styling balm? Well in theory this one would be for you. The packaging is very organic and feels very high class. When the product dispenses it is definitely more liquidy than I expected, but it smells amazing (very minimal smell), and “coats” hair evenly as it is dispersed. I utilized on damp hair and let my hair air dry. Normally I will get very frizzy waves if I sleep on wet hair, or very frizzy pouf when I let it air dry. This didn’t add much shape to my hair as I had hoped, but it did keep it smoother than normal. The texture at the end of the day was soft and easy to brush through and didn’t make my hair feel like there was a gross buildup. I enjoy this product and will definitely try again before bed sometime. Otherwise a little bored with the results.

I love this product! I use a lot of heatless curlers and have issues with frizz but this helps an incredible amount. I also love the smell. As an added bonus it strengthens your hair! Free of phthalates and sulfates SLS & SLES. It is also gluten-free and cruelty-free. My only concern is needing to use a curling iron to touch up heat less curls, as the product is not designed to be used with heat.

I give it a 5 star because it delivered what it promised! I love how it helped my hair not look super frizzy when air dryed. It help defined my hair curls 8/10 but it’s not really for curl definition. It can be use to help tame fly aways too. The scent is not overpowering like their aerosols. I think that it is perfect for people with fine hair. Okay for curly hair. Not for coily.
