Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse

I had ditched mousse for over a decade, but gave this a try and I’m using it every time I wash my hair now! I have very fine hair prone to frizz, but also thick, long, and curly. This is the first product that accentuates my curls and tames frizz efficiently while volumizing the crap out of it at the same time. I’m obsessed! A small amount is all that is needed and even the one time I put too much in a section it didn’t get crunchy, it was easy to work out and smooth to correct. It’s pricey but performs outstandingly and out-of-kind. Also smells amazing without being overpowering.

After using this a few times, I can say that to much of the product is no good, but a little bit does get the job done. The first time I used this mousse I put way to much in my hair and it left it feeling heavy and slightly sticky, I wasn’t happy with it and felt like I needed to wash my hair. The scent was a little much as well. I didn’t want to judge it after just one use. So I decided to give it another try but this time I used a lot less. I applied to my roots and boy what a difference that made. It gave my hair the volume that it needed and this time without the heavy sticky feeling. My hair felt great even into the next day and the scent was so much more subtle and nice.

If you are looking for volume this mousse is the ticket! Talk about elevated! I have never used anything that added this kind of volume let alone has no crunch! A little goes a long way. Thank you Oribe!

I’ve bought this mousse several times. At $39 a bottle, I expect the company to resolve issues when there is a product issue. My bottle kept leaking, when I pushed the top, the product wouldn’t come out correctly - it would be extra liquidy. I contacted the company and they were horrific - terrible customer service.

I don’t use too many hair products, so this was my first intro to a volumizing type of styling agent. My hair is super flat on top, but I can notice it makes a slight natural looking difference after I style with it and it doesn’t feel like it weighs my hair down at all. In fact, it feels like I didn’t put anything in my hair and the top of my head is prone to getting oily and flat. There isn’t any scent I can tell and there’s no sticky feeling in your hands or residue that other products would leave either. It doesn’t hurt that packaging looks nice like all oribe products.

It makes my hair very voluminous and adds some texture. I have 3B hair down to my armpits and this makes my hair be as wide as it is long. I have to use a curl creme in my hair with it otherwise I keep loosing my curl. Other than that it definitely does the job. Don’t need a whole lot of it either. If I put too much then it makes my hair itchy. I also noticed my hair dries more slowly since I started using this mousse, not sure why. Don’t touch your hair until it’s dry though because otherwise it will make your hair frizzy (more than usual).
