Curl Gelée for Shine & Definition

Omgeeeee this is a curly girl’s dream curl product! I purchased this at Sephora and I am in love! It’s a “gel” like consistency, which is new for me for a curl cream/product and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Expect perfect, shiny, well-defined curls and no crunchy texture. I use about a quarter sized amount and run it gently through my hair with a wide toothed comb and the curly lip and go.

I’m so disappointed! Something changed about this product in a really bad way. I’ve been using this product for years and it’s been one of my favorite curl defining products. Last 2 purchases I can definitely see the change, and not just visibly in color and consistency but also in the hold it provides (lack of it, to be exact). What’s worse is that it’s leaving white residue on my hair. I don’t have dandruff but it looks like I do when using this product. Please return the old version, which was clear in color and discontinue this new muddy looking formula. It’s horrible.

Why did you change the formula? I noticed it’s white now and not clear anymore. It doesn’t hold my corks the same anymore and I used to love this product. I’ve been using it for years and now I’m so disappointed that I will have to find something else. Please go back to the original formula that was clear.

I have hair that seems to be in between wavy and straight. Lately, I've been trying to enhance my waves for a more curly look. This stuff right here works so great for that! I apply to my damp hair and crunch my hair together then let it air dry. My waves turn out beautifully with this. Strong, yet flexible hold, plus it smells great!

I was so excited to finally get a chance to try this gel on my curly/wavy hair. I had been using the curl cream and liked it but still had frizz. Well, this was a big disappointment. It made my hair super dry and did not hold my curls. For a product at this price, I would have expected much better.

Really good quality gel hair product. I have very curly and frizzy hair, and I get quarterly+ keratin treatments to keep the curls and frizz in check. This keeps my curls defined, but not crunchy. The SMELL IS AMAZING, like all Oribe’s products. The container is slighting difficult to use just because it is a bigger tub, so you have to use 2 hands (as opposed to one hand with the pop-top—which is what the bottle was a few years ago), however, since you dip your ha FD int the tub, it is easier to control how much you need to use and you can get every last bit of product (no more upside down contraptions squeeze all the product out!). Great for curly- or frizzy-haired people. Smell is divine, albeit very feminine. Will be using for life!
