Serene Scalp Balancing Shampoo

I typically have used Olaplex or Morrocanoil brands, but I always struggle with dead skin build up/ dandruff / oils around my scalp. These weigh down the waves of my hair and the volume. I was hoping the Oribe shampoo and conditioner would fix some of these issues I was having due to my scalp health, and I was not let down! Now I use this every other shampoo, with a moisturizing one in between, and my hair is much more lightweight, and the waves are gorgeous. I can feel that the dead skin in my scalp is exfoliated and clean now. Not to mention, it smells luxurious, and looks luxurious in my bathroom. I was given these products complimentary in exchange for my honest review, and will definitely be repurchasing when empty.

My scalp tends to get itchy and dry, especially in the winter, leading to some dandruff. Plus, I have fine hair that can go limp if a product leaves behind anything. After trying the Oribe Serene Scalp for a while now, I can definitely say this product hit my check boxes and will become a staple in my routine, probably 2x per week. So why is that? This shampoo cleaned my hair well (which is honestly saying a lot) and left it fresh/bouncy without drying it out. My dandruff is decreased and scalp feels less dry. Finally, this shampoo has a light, what I will call the “oribe” scent. Hard to describe but all the their shampoos I’ve used have it. Good for sensitive people since it’s not very strong. Overall, definitely a win!

It may be user error, but I seriously had a hard time gauging how much shampoo I needed. Sometimes I would need a larger amount and sometimes I’d need much less but not necessarily because of a difference in greasiness of my hair. I wash my hair every 2ish days or about 3-4 times a week and I found myself needing to use a different shampoo and conditioner in between washes. It could be because the formula is so heavy/creamy especially since it’s meant for dry scalp, but it definitely weighed my hair down more than I was expecting. I would definitely only use this line once a week and switch it out with another brand that’s not as heavy.

Let me start off by saying I do not have moderate or severe dandruff which is what I believe these products are geared towards. My scalp and hair is pretty healthy for the most part. I do however get a dry scalp during the changes of Seasons. This shampoo felt so creamy and luxurious at application. It has a beautiful fruity, flowery smell. The packaging is a very pretty pink and they sent a full size. My hair felt more moisturized during the actual washing of my hair and my hair looked shinier and felt soft after application of the shampoo and conditioner. I have only used it for one wash, but so far both the shampoo and conditioner have felt like higher end products. I can see how they would help someone with a dryer scalp.

This shampoo smells great and gives me a clean feeling on my scalp and hair. I did feel that my hair got tangled a bit with shampooing (conditioning quickly resolved that feeling), but I think that was just part of the cleansing it does for my scalp with the salicyclic acid. I do have a need for an anti-dandruff shampoo, and although pricey, it doesn't have that typical off-putting chemical smell, so thats a plus. I think the final result after washing and conditioning is good. However, this is a bit pricey, so if I bought it, I'd have to space out the use.

This is my holy grail shampoo line. Yes it has a pretty price tag but worth every penny. It doesn’t take much so this will last longer than you think. Let me tell you why I love it. I have dry hair. Always have. I can usually go 3-5 days between washes, no problem. When we moved, I have flat, greasy hair almost constantly. Changed hair products without help and the only thing that did help was when I washed my hair while traveling. Enter Oribe Serene Scalp. I am back to my baseline without having an extra dried out scalp. This has Salcylic Acid 2% that helps with dandruff but also helps with hydration. I am so happy I found this line!!

I received this product for free from Influenster and Oribe in exchange for my honest review. I’ve been using the Oribe shampoo for about a month and it has made my hair feel so soft and shiny! When I first received these products I was very impressed with the gorgeous packaging. The light pink bottle and gold lettering is stunning! The shampoo itself has a beautiful pearly gleam to it and has a nice consistency. It has a light floral scent that is not overwhelming. The active ingredient is salicylic acid which is supposed to help with dandruff and irritated or dry scalps. My scalp still feels a bit dry but i don’t see any dandruffs so that’s great. For reference i have unprocessed, straight hair that tends to be frizzy. When I use this shampoo alongside the conditioner it looks amazing when I blow dry it. I was even more impressed when I let my hair air dry and it looked so good! My hair has never felt this soft or looked so shiny. My husband has also used the shampoo and conditioner and felt that his hair was super hydrated and helped his curly hair (3C) form beautiful curls. This is definitely a luxury item at $52.00 per 8.5 ounces as sold at Sephora at the time of review . All in all, if you have the budget for it, I would recommend the shampoo and conditioner combination.

i received this product complimentary for my honest review. I have thick, short hair. Even though I live in a state.with high humidity, somehow my scalp is dry during the summer months. The smell of the shampoo is subtle and satisfying. It is not an overwhelming scent, which is nice. The scent stays with you for an hour or two. The texture of the conditioner is soft, silky, and creamy. It was able to be lathered effortlessly. A little bit goes a long way. After using the product twice a week for two weeks, my hair felt less itchy, shinier, and healthier.

If you have scalp issue with flanking and dandruff, this is a product for you! It really works and feels great just after one use. No complains after using for weeks, my scalp is very happy! This is a luxury product, quite expensive. I don’t think this needs to be an everyday use shampoo. I like to mix in other products in the weekly routine, so the price may be justified because it will last you a longer time. Can be a little drying to the hair, which is another not to use everyday. Packing is beautiful and smell is amazing!!! Amazing product overall!

 Oribe is known for phenomenal quality, and the shampoo is no exception.  During winter weather months, where I live, scalp and skin pay the price. The shampoo gave me immediate results for a relieved, moisturized scalp, and it was lightweight with a delicate, luxurious scent.  I have fine hair and this did not weigh my hair down or feel like it left a heavy residue. My hairstylist was very pleased with the residual results on my hair after one month.  my hair texture was still intact and it appeared vibrant and healthy. From root to tip. During the winter months, I often have to increase shampoo and conditioning to almost daily, because of my dry scalp, but with this product, I was able to wash every 2 to 3 days with no issues.

Full disclosure: I do not have dandruff. However, I do sometimes get zits along my hairline, and since this has salicylic acid as an ingredient, I was hoping this might help. And honestly, it has! I’ve been using it in conjunction with the serene scalp conditioner once or twice a week for the last couple of weeks (as I don’t believe it is meant for every wash) and I think this shampoo has helped reduce the zits in my hairline drastically. Smells great and lathers well. Overall, I really like it and would recommend to others who may have scalp issues.

The only good thing about the shampoo is, it has a decent amount of slip. I was able to detangler better with the shampoo than I was with the conditioner. But the claim of anti-dandruff is an absolute farce. I have more dandruff now than I did before using these products. My hair felt so dry after using the shampoo and conditioner I had to go in with a moisturizing treatment which caused me to have to go back under the water for a third and a fourth time. For as much as much as this costs, they executed this product very poorly. Even a brief head scratch looks like snow now. There are much better options on the market for merely a Fraction of the cost

For reference I have very long and thick hair, I spend good money on quality shampoo and conditioner, that being said ....I'm not sure how I was selected for this box, I don't have dandruff but I tested it anyway since it was sent to me. I'll start with the brand itself, It is super expensive, the smell was very strong which I am not a fan of fragrance, it left my hair feeling thirsty, I believe this is bc this is not the right type of shampoo for my hair. I'm conclusion, it's a very overpriced brand and product that I would never buy.

I received this product as a free gift from the brand Oribe and Influenster! I used this shampoo only for the past few days, and I feel like a whole new person! My scalp feels moisturized, itch-free, and my hair is hydrated! It doesn’t make your hair feel stringy, in fact you will notice how soft your hair feels after that first wash!! I will definitely be purchasing a bigger bottle along with a few other items!! I am in love with this product highly recommend if you want your hair to feel like it did when you were a teenager!!!

Scent: I love it. It’s a green, crisp smell like sweet cut grass and herbs drenched in fruity water. I could see very vaguely how some people could get roses out of it but the floral smell is more like tulips to me. Appearance: The bottle is a gorgeous soft pink and the actual liquid itself is a shimmery mother of pearl color. Lather: Not much! It was smooth and soft on my hands and when I rubbed them together it made this very creamy foam. In my hair it spread evenly but felt a little oily and heavy. I was a little worried that it was too heavy for my hair because it’s short and straight but after rinsing it out, there was nothing left over and my hair didn’t have that stripped, squeaky feeling. It felt moisturized. I only used a teaspoons worth, if that.

I am so happy I got to try this along with the shampoo.. they work so good!! I have long baby fine hair & could only go a day in between washes before my hair looked a greasy mess.. but after using these for the past couple weeks I can actually go 4-5 days in between washes.. & my scalp feels so clean too lol. The shampoo/conditioner smells clean as well so that’s another plus! These are definitely a little pricey but are truthfully worth every penny! I’m definitely gonna keep purchasing this brand once these run out! 💕

I was really surprised by this product! The box & packaging are super luxe. A great way to start your day. Seriously, most beautiful shampoo/conditioner bottles ever. I was a little skeptical bc the price point and how it wasn’t the most moisturizing after using both on my hair—compared to others I’d sat low to average in moisturizing the ends of my hair. However, I am used to following up with a leave in conditioner which did the trick. I suffer from scalp itchiness and it went away with this. Another bonus/surprise was the fact that it didn’t make my hair oily. I normally have to wash my hair every day if I’m wearing it long, but with this I could go 2 days!

After the first use this shampoo eliminated my dandruff and hair buildup! It left my hair feeling very soft which other brands fail to do. I love that this brand has eliminated many harmful ingredients from their products! The shampoo lathers very well and feels like it’s truly washing your hair without feeling like it’s stripping the hair. I have been wanting to try this brand for a while and I’m so glad I finally got the opportunity. This shampoo has definitely changed my hair and made my dandruff a thing of the past!

This shampoo is amazinggg! I received it for free from Influenster and Sephora to test out and I’m actually amazed with the results. After the very first use I noticed that my scalp wasn’t flakey at all. My hair overall feels wayyy cleaner after I wash it and I’ve noticed my scalp looks more hydrated and healthy. It smells so fruity and nice and the texture goes on smooth. I have issues with my scalp around my hairline being dry and flakey and this has seriously helped so much. This is definitely my new go-to shampoo.

I love how gentle this shampoo is. I've tried a few different scalp care shampoos, and they have all stripped my scalp of moisture far more than this shampoo. The texture is also nice and thick, so I don't have to use as much as I do with other shampoos. Its great for my curly hair. I notice that it has about the same effectiveness for me as any other shampoo. I find that if I don't shampoo every other day and let it go a third day, my scalp will start to get itchy. Otherwise, it's a great shampoo for my routine.

My experience with oribe products is always a luxurious feeling. From the packaging to the scent and formula. I loved that this was a target product that could battle my dandruff, while feeling pleasant and feeling gentle on my scalp. I love that it contained ingredients like salicylic acid, which work well for dandruff. I like to use this once a week, in conjunction with my other regular shampoo and conditioner. I recommend this to anyone dealing with dandruff, that wants a product that’s effective and gentle!

I was given this shampoo set in exchange for my review. I’ve had this set in my cart for awhile and i am so thankful to have been gifted it. What a great shampoo! I have been searching for a shampoo to calm my itchy,dry, flaky scalp. I’ve tried many shampoos from the dreaded “Head and Shoulders” to higher end brands like SachaJuan and nothing works! But Oribe has blown me away yet again with another amazing product. My scalp is not itchy and dry, it feels moisturized and “balanced”. The packaging is feminine and stunning as expected. The shampoo has a pearlescent sheen to it which is so pretty. Smells ok. Not too fragranced. Beautiful shampoo , beautiful results!

The Oribe Serene Scalp Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Serene Scalp Balancing Conditioner were nice to try out and smelled lovely but, I don’t see myself gravitating towards these products in the future. I think the drugstore shampoos/conditioners provide similar, if not better results for a fraction of the price. I also prefer shampoos that leave a minty/refreshing sensation to my scalp. I will admit that the packaging is beautiful and looks aesthetically pleasing in my shower. This might be one of those products that I wouldn’t mind leaving in the guest bathroom for others to use as I don’t find it a necessity in my routine.

This product is so life changing! First of all the packaging is so cute and chic! The product smells light, floral and expensive! This lathers my hair so gently and cleanses my scalp! I do have some dandruff and build up at times so it cleanses my hair so well! I used this about 4-5x before writing a review because I wanted to an honest review. My hair is so thick and I only need to use a little bit for this to make my hair clean and feel good! I love it! I will definitely be repurchasing this product.

I received this shampoo for free in exchange for my honest review. What I found after multiple tries of this shampoo, it doesn’t help my dandruff at all. I do suffer from more severe dandruff so that could be it, but it just doesn’t really help me scalp much personally. I’m sure it’d work better for someone with less severe dandruff than me. It does smell lovely though, and I’ve really enjoyed the scent it leaves in my hair. I wouldn’t recommend this product if you suffer from more severe dandruff.

I have untreated 2a/b hair that is rarely heat styled. I do have thyroid disease which can cause it to frizz, but I have an excellent stylist. My scalp tends to get oily if I use the wrong cleansers or conditioners. Pros: I didn't have a problem with oiliness after 3 days, the shampoo does not seem to have a scent, it's very think and concentrated, and has a decent lather (definitely not a clarifying shampoo, however). Cons: My hair doesn't feel quite as clean as I'd like. I washed twice, but it had a sort of coated feel, almost thicker. When dry my hair feels soft and smooth and even silky, but it's definitely not as bouncy. I did not notice a difference with scalp itchiness or dandruff. Verdict: It's just ok. I'll use what I was sent to review, but not one I would purchase for myself.

I have used almost half of this shampoo. The scent it has reminds me SO much of Curious by Britney Spears. I used to wear that perfume so much in high school and haven’t smelled it in years, but the minute I opened this bottle and applied it to my hair, I was whisked away right back to high school, and it was a nice scent memory to have. The product itself is nice, it has a nice thick texture and it does seem to moisturize my scalp really well. I can’t say for sure that it does much in the way of scalp dryness or dandruff, because I don’t typically struggle with dandruff or dry scalp, but I enjoy this product. I used this shampoo for about a week and a half. and I have noticed a change in my itchy scalp and dandruff that I get every winter! The product is lightweight and a little goes a long way. As someone who has issues with highly scented Or perfume products this product didn’t bother me and was lightly scented. I have been struggling with dandruff and a flaky, dry scalp the past month and let me tell you this shampoo has changed my scalp health. Since using this, I have had no flakes, as well as it has kept my hair from getting oily after a few days too. I would highly recommend this product if other brands have not been relieving your dandruff. This is a great product and has bettered my scalp health!
