Silverati Shampoo

I had been a loyal ORIBE user for years and more recently using Silverati. There was a period of time when Silverati was not offered. They came back in stock this year and I bought two bottles of Shampoo and two bottles of Conditioner from ORIBE in May. I used to prefer ORIBE because of the fragrance. When I recently opened the new Silverado Shampoo, I noticed a foul smell. It smells like dirty feet. A far cry from the scent I knew and loved. I opened the second Shampoo bottle and there is the same foul smell. The conditioner smells fine. I am SO disappointed as I loved the product for my salt and pepper hair. I am afraid to use the shampoo which was quite expensive due to the smell. I understand it is too late for a refund but you need to know.

I don't get it; I loved this shampoo, then stye changed the formula. Used to love everything about it (except the price!!) -- the scent, the silvery swirls, how it made my silver so bright! Then they changed the formula. Now the "scent" is HORRIBLE -- like the inside of a pumpkin when you're carving it for Halloween, but slightly off; there are no more silver swirls, just a dull gray colored shampoo; and my hair seems meh and less vibrant. Super disappointed… : (

Like others, I waited for the return of Silverati. Unfortunately for me, the shampoo dries out my hair and I feel like it has a yellowish tinge at first. The tinge does seem to subside, but the dryness does not. Sadly, I am returning. I even discussed with my stylist ans she said they choose not to stock it the salon because of these complaints.

How long did we wait for this shampoo to come back into stock? And it's a lavender shampoo which darkened my hair and was very noticeable to people. I'm very disappointed and upset that I spent money to get the results I could get from any purple shampoo out there. I would love to get my money back but I find it unlikely.

I read so many great reviews and had to but Silverati shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, after using it just three times it has darkened my hair to more of a slate-looking color. Very disappointing. Anyone else with this experience?

I saw that the Silverati duo was back in stock, so I purchased it right away. I used the new products yesterday and noticed a rancid odor to them that is stronger in the shampoo. Is this a new formula? It smells like a rancid pumpkin. I'm not sure what to make of this, but I would like to get replacement products from Oribe in hopes this is a one-off.

This stuff smells like stinky, fish water. I just got to the point that I dreaded washing my hair - so I stopped using it.

Had great hopes but unfortunately the product did not fare well. I grayed quite young and my natural colour is a dark brown. The Silverati shampoo and conditioner literally turned my hair blond and light brown. I don’t know if it’s just my hair but I’m quite sad that I’ll have to keep searching for that perfect shampoo.

COVID gave me the "opportunity" to stop coloring my hair. I liked my grey but wasn't happy with the yellowing ends. I tried purple shampoos. But they didn't tone the grey and left a purple glow. I saw reviews that raved about Silverati but it wasn't available. As soon as I saw it was back in stock, i bought 2 bottles. My hair is now a beautiful silver from roots to ends. Please don't discontinue this shampoo and conditioner.

This is hands down the absolute best shampoo for gray silver hair I have ever used! I used to use the purple shampoo that would make my hair… purple. I realized that at 40 it was rare to have silver locs so I wanted to make the best of my assets. This shampoo does not disappoint! All you need is a dime sized amount and no rinse lather repeat! I bought this believing the description that it would get rid of the yellow in my white hair. It doesn't. Another false claim. My questions to customer service went unanswered. And I've been waiting a week to receive "a kit" to return the product. Only buy this if you want to be aggravated.

Just tried for the first time and whitest part my hair turned this ugly dull blondish yellow tint. I had a little yellowish tint, not I have more, very strange. We do have well water, so I’m not sure if it reacted with the water. I was so hopeful.

My hairdresser got me hooked on the shampoo and conditioner. I prefer this over purple shampoos. It doesn't stain the hair like many purple shampoos will. It really brightens the silver and grey.

Very disappointed. My fine hair was left to be dry & unmanageable. I returned the shampoo and conditioner after only 1 use. Thank you for the full refund.

My first purchase of this shampoo. I'm very disappointed as it is terribly drying my hair. The smell is also somewhat old-ish and stuffy, good thing it doesn't last. The bottle comes unsealed, which is very odd for a luxury product. I won't be purchasing again.

I have used so many shampoos over the years to keep the perfect pearly/silver tone to my really light blonde hair and this one is by far the best!! I have a lot of natural silver and white in huge sections in the front of my hair, so we blend in the rest of my more mousy/dirty blonde with all over highlights and toner. This shampoo keeps me the perfect color for the 3-4 months I go between salon visits. I never used to be able to go that long without being yellow and brassy! It also keeps my hair soft and smelling amazing. A great product!!

Not sure how long it should take. Not seeing vast improvements yet- have used 2 or 3 times. I'm using both Silver shampoo & conditioner.. ,But,I am giving it a positive effort....

I don't care for the color this shampoo and conditioner leave my hair. I would not recommend these products.

During the time Silverati was back ordered my hair was dull. I could not find any other product that was as good as Silverati. I washed my hair today after 9 months without this special product, now my silver and grey hair is LUMINOUS with shine and clarity! Gosh I missed this product!

I am male with very gray sides and a mix in top. The sides and back looked so white and dingy until I used this shampoo. In just two weeks, I have received many compliments. Thank you! It lathers great and leaves my hair soft and easy to comb. 5 stars!

My hair stylist recommended it. I used it for a few months.. and what a marvelous change! Wow! All it takes is using the size of quarter of shampoo. Leave it in your hair while you shower.. rinse... apply conditioner.. rinse off... my hair so much more manageable ...more free flowing... it's what I want my hair to be! Oribe is worth the money... twice a week... a dollop in the hair.. and you're good to go!

Disappointed that this shampoo and conditioner did not remove the brassiness from my gray hair. Would not buy again.

I have natural silver hair. My hair was originally a dark brown. When I spend time in the sun my hair can get brassy, this tones my hair. I was using purple shampoo and my hair was turning purple. Now it stays silver. It’s worth the cost.

I used this shampoo with the conditioner and my hair feels like straw, does not feel good at all.

I am mostly grey with some dark. I’ve tried many different products to brighten my grey/silver. I find the silver shampoo to be the best product I’ve used and will continue to buy it. It brightens my hair and brings out the natural silver and grey. I’ve seen comments about it drying the hair but have not experienced this myself.

The best for white hair… the shampoo is a very light grey and is in my opinion, does not deposit unnatural tones. The delivery for the shampoo was very quick! The is an excellent company to purchase items from! They give you generous size samples and I love the light Hair spray samples that I received with my orders…

This works perfectly to keep my highlights looking blonde, not brassy. A little bit goes a long way, but it's worth the expense to have shiny, bouncy, blonde hair!
