Oribe Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray gives my a hair that laid back, just been out relaxing and swimming all day look. I tried it first on dry hair. It gave me a sort of wet look with piecey strands, and my hair ends curled up. I love that you can get this look starting from dry hair. Next, I tried spraying on my wet hair. I saw a difference after putting my hair in a top bun for about 15 minutes. When my hair came down, it had a wet look and lots of waves. I liked this style even more than the dry version. I am not fond of the scent, and it may be that I was heavy-handed in spraying it on. It is part hair spray scent and part perfume. That part is not my vibe. I can always spritz something that is on top though. I like that my hair feels touchably soft, which doesn't happen with other beach sprays.
My hair is also bouncy and not weighed down. It is fun playing with different styles when I use it on dry or wet hair.

This product can be used on both wet or dry hair. I spray it onto my hair while I style it and it helps my hair stay in place and gives it volume and shine throughout the day. It has a very soft fragrance and works well.

I received the Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray from Influenster in exchange for an honest review. I’ve tried Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray, and while I usually love the scents of Oribe products, this one didn’t quite hit me. The fragrance is heavier and stronger than I expected. As for performance, it didn’t have the impact I was hoping for—it didn’t do much to enhance my waves or add noticeable shine. Overall, it’s not my favorite from the Oribe line, but if you’re a fan of stronger scents and looking for a styling spray, it might still be worth a try.

I have been a huge fan of Oribe hair products for many years! I first wash my hair with the detangling shampoo as soon as the packet was ripped open the intoxicating Oribe signature fragrance filled up my entire shower. The shampoo lathered very nicely, and I did not feel heavy on my strands at all after I rinsed it out of my hair it felt squeaky clean, but not dry at all. After fully washing my hair, I then used the super shine light moisturizing cream as I have very fine hair. For those ladies who have very thick hair the original formula will work great for you, but I just appreciate Oribe thinking of all different hair types and providing a product that would not weigh my fine strands down. After running the product throughout my damp hair I blow dried as normal and was pleasantly surprised that my hair was bouncy and smelled heavenly. I then ripped off my fully hollow dried hair with the apres shine spray. The mist was fine and left a beautiful glow to my hair. We want our bodies to be moisturized and shiny so why wouldn’t we want the same for our hair? All in all thanks to Oribe I had a great hair day. These products performed great and were super easy to use.

I’m not sure I’m using this in the right way because I feel like it doesn’t really do much for my hair. I followed the directions and my hair looks just about the same after using it but feels like it has product in it. I’m going to try to use this in other ways and with different stying techniques, but I have other products I prefer for waves. The packing was nice and the scent wasn’t overwhelming, so I just wish this performed better on my hair! I also tried this with an Oribe styling cream and wasn’t impressed by that either.

I don’t know fully what to think get. I love the smell of it but my mom who is sensitive yelled from down the hall ‘ what they h**l are you spraying stop it!’ So she doesn’t like it as much. But it’s the typical oribe scent like the texture spray. I used this today on dry hair but it can be used on both dry and damp. I have a very oily scalp and It goes greasy quick and I’ve been off 2 days washing I don’t know if I liked how it looked. Also to get the waves that I did. I had to spray A LOT. I think I am going to try it on damp hair and see if my hair will dry with the waves this also didn’t seem to stick around very long in my hair but I have ultra thin and stringy hair!!! Please disregard all the random grays! I haven’t had a chance to every do anything with them yet!

Not my Favourite!

I have straight hair, but opted for this product because I do have some instances where waves/curls begin to appear in my hair after spending the day on the beach. So, I opted for this product hoping to get a similar appearance. However, this product is not something to use regularly, as it can be very drying for your hair but I have noticed it does tend to add a bit of shine. It does have a decent hold, and adds SOME volume; I do wish I opted for a different styling product! I would recommend trying this if you already have visible waves or curls naturally, but it doesn’t do much for straight hair with SOME wave to it.

Frizz free waves!

I have fine wavy hair that gets so frizzy and with this spray it gives me dream waves. I use it on damp hair and scrunch a little and it seems to activate my waves. No frizz at all in my hair when I use it. Since it has heat and uv protection I can also use my waver to fix any waves that have gone straight or crazy. It never gets that crunchy feeling and it’s so lightweight. I’ve tried so many wave sprays in the past and this is the holy grail of wave sprays.

This product has made my hair so soft and silky. I have colored bleach blonde hair and always had a problem with my hair drying out or frizzy and since using this my hair has been amazing. The smell is luxurious and texture is lightweight so it will not weight your hair down or feel greasy. I put it in my hair after washing and I have both air dried my hair and used a hair dryer and I was impressed with the end results. Don’t think about it just order it!

When I first put this product in my hair I wasn’t really sold. It added a little bit of shine and texture, but wasn’t anything special… or so I thought. The real magic appeared when I woke up the next morning with my hair still in perfectly undone beach wave texture!! I mean… do your hair once and have it stay perfectly through the next day without the crunchiness of high hold hairspray… What is this magical stuff even made out of?? Officially obsessed!

This product is a little expensive but it works! I have fine hair. I shower at night, air dry with a towel to get the natural curves and movement (that would otherwise be flat in an hour). In the morning I spray beach waves all over the hair, scrunch twice, the oribe dry shampoo at the roots mostly and a little all over for extra texture, scrunch twice, spray beach waves again. I don't comb my hair when it's dry, just detangle with my fingers as needed. This stuff only gets better the second or third day, you respray and your hair gets so much volume it's awesome.
I haven't been happier with any product.

I got to test this complimentary of Influenster, and holy cow does this work!!! I naturally have between wavy and curly hair, and I could never find a product that curled my hair and gave me volume without the crunch until now!! This spray was amazing! Wide nozzle so spraying my hair in sections was super fast and easy. I crunched my hair to give more curl after my shower and I woke up with super defined curly hair with no crunch!

I haven't had the best luck in the past with wave sprays in the past but I tried to remain hopeful while giving this a try, especially since I like some of Oribe's other products. Unfortunately I did not like the results of this product either. I naturally have 2B/2C wavy hair so I was looking forward to some definition and added shine to my natural waves. After reading the instructions on the bottle, I applied this product to damp hair, scrunched my hair a bit, and then let it air dry. My hair looked more frizzy than usual and I didn't really get any definition. It just looked like a mess. My hair also felt a little crunchy and kind of itchy. A part of me is wondering if I didn't use the product correctly however, I did follow the instructions. I'm not sure how else I could troubleshoot it. I did try it again on dry hair though but unfortunately I got similar results.

Works Great on Curls

I do have curly hair and I’m always looking for ways to improve my curl pattern. This wave spray did just that. After washing and adding my usual products I sprayed this throughout. My hair was more damp than soaking wet. I sprayed all over and focused on my roots. It really helped tighten up my curls and gave them bounce. I was also frizz free and had a nice shine too. My curls looked great.

Oribe’s Après Beach Wave & Shine spray is a little can of magic. My hair doesn’t always like to hold a curl, nor does it have much body on its own. A little spritz post-wash, some air dry and a bit of blow drying and blammo - sexy body and waves! I sprayed a bit more after my hair was dry and several hours later my hair is still almost as full as it was this morning.

I wasn’t that impressed with the leave-in conditioner. I didn’t find it did much for my hair. As with all leave-ins, I had to keep it away from my roots to avoid a greasy look. The spray also didn’t provide much hold and added very little shine. Overall, I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but others may experience different results as everyone's hair is different.

This is really good stuff. It makes my hair shine and helps control the frizz. Love the way it makes my hair look when I use it on wet hair. If I spray it on my hair when it's dry I still have to use my curling iron!! It smells really good. Anytime I use it people tell me my hair smells good. I think this is good for any hair type...

This partnered with the cream works beautiful wonders for my waves. More definition, more volume and more shine.
While I don’t think this product is quite the must-have that the cream is, I do notice a difference when I style my hair with/without it.
It adds a little more of a glossy finish. Touches up some of those strays. I like it!

Wow just wow is all I can say!! I love this product it gives that perfect beach waves. The scent is incredible smells better than a lot of other ones. The texture is good and holds great. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for that perfect beach wave that last all day.

If you have wavy and straight hair this is a must have spray for you. My daughter has slightly wavy hair and we tried this spray and I noticed how shiny her hair was afterwards. The spray itself smells amazing and reminds me of the ocean water. It does leave a tacky feeling my hands.

i appreciate this spray’s compact size, which makes it perfect for traveling or popping it in your purse on the go. the spray comes out quickly and in strong bursts for such a little can. the hold definitely gives a beachy mermaid vibe, this is not for a tight curl look.
